Gina’s Light Foundation was established in honor of Gina C. Wardlow who died unexpectedly at the age of 38 on October 19, 2006. She was a Christian woman, caring wife, devoted mother, and friend to many. Gina always had a warm heart and a bright smile. In return, she could often make people smile without a spoken word. Gina’s Light Foundation was founded with the intent of offering such a smile to those in our community that need it most.
Unfortunate tragedies, such as that suffered by the Wardlow family, have a way of stripping away any sense of normalcy or security. This is especially true for children. However, many surviving spouses also face insurmountable financial burdens which create additional challenges and force uncomfortable decisions in difficult times. Our mission is to share Gina’s light by supporting the immediate educational needs of children with deceased parents, helping grieving families by providing security for their children, and offering consistency in education at a time when everything else has changed. In these stressful times, small things can make the biggest difference. If you are interested in learning more about scholarship opportunities, our organizational goals, and how you can help make them possible, please contact us. We hope that you will help us to share Gina's Light and reclaim a smile.
